Outreach
Springfields Autism Support helps schools, colleges, businesses, charities and other organisations to develop excellent and effective autism practice.
The academy has vast experience in supporting schools, education professionals and other organisations with their SEND provision and autism knowledge. As a National Autistic Society accredited setting, you can be confident that the Springfields Autism Support team bring specialist knowledge and skills to your setting. You can find out more about our experienced and talented team on our ‘Meet the Team’ page.
Using our knowledge and understanding of autism we meet with key staff, parents and pupils to develop the systems, structures and environments that meet the needs of the autistic learner using a neuro-affirming approach.
We can help you meet The SEND Code of Practice (2014) through the use of specialist teachers to support you:
"Where a child continues to make less than expected progress, despite evidence-based support and interventions that are matched to the child's area of need, practitioners should consider involving appropriate specialists, for example, health visitors, speech and language therapists, Portage workers, educational psychologists or specialist teachers, who may be able to identify effective strategies, equipment, programmes or other interventions to enable the child to make progress towards the desired learning and development outcomes."
